The sourcing problem

Most carrier sourcing happens outside the TMS.

Brokers, shippers, and asset-based carriers all manage capacity relationships the same way: emails, phone calls, text messages, spreadsheets, and personal relationships. That creates slow response times, inconsistent carrier usage, capacity uncertainty, and knowledge trapped with individuals.

Carrier selected, load awarded

The issue is not finding carriers. The issue is activating trusted carriers efficiently.

Most transportation companies already know which carriers they want to work with. FTM Private Loadboard creates a private carrier network inside Salesforce, instead of posting freight to the entire open market.

The core concept

Turn carrier relationships into a scalable network.

Every approved carrier becomes part of a reusable network that grows more valuable over time, instead of a relationship one dispatcher remembers and everyone else has to rebuild.

Carrier Network

The network compounds. Every load awarded, every response logged, and every on-time delivery adds to a record your team can act on, not a relationship that lives in one person’s contact list.

What the network does

Six capabilities. One private carrier network.

Each capability is about activating carriers you already trust, faster, not finding strangers on the open market.

A
Preferred Carrier Network

Your best carriers get the opportunity before anyone else does.

Approved carriers receive opportunities before the public market
Preferred status set and managed per carrier in Salesforce
Freight stays inside relationships you’ve already built
B
Private Freight Distribution

Freight goes to the carriers you choose, not the entire open market.

Publish freight directly to selected carriers, not the public board
Control which carriers see which lanes or freight types
No rate or capacity exposure to carriers outside your network
C
Capacity Discovery

See who wants the freight without making dozens of calls.

Interested carriers surface automatically as they respond
Capacity visibility without a round of outbound calls
Know who is available before a load needs to move
Capacity Signals3 responding

D
Carrier Response Management

Compare offers side by side instead of across separate texts and emails.

Compare offers, transit times, and availability in one view
Responses logged to the load record automatically
Award a load without leaving the response screen

Performance Visibility

F
Salesforce-Based Carrier Records

Every carrier interaction stays attached to the same record, not a separate inbox.

Every carrier interaction stays connected to Salesforce
No data trapped in a dispatcher’s personal phone or inbox
New team members see full carrier history on day one
Protecting what you’ve built

Protect the relationships you’ve already built.

The strongest carrier networks are built over years. Private Loadboard helps transportation companies leverage those relationships at scale instead of starting over for every shipment.

The relationship is the asset. Private Loadboard does not replace it. It gives that relationship a system to operate in, so the value built with each carrier compounds instead of depending on who happens to be at the desk that day.

What changes

What happens when your best carriers see freight before everyone else.

These are the operational shifts teams report after moving carrier sourcing into a controlled network, not promises about specific numbers your operation will see.

Faster carrier sourcing
Opportunities reach the whole network at once instead of one call at a time.
Better service consistency
Freight goes to carriers with a track record, not whoever answers first.
More carrier engagement
Carriers respond faster when opportunities arrive directly and predictably.
Less manual outreach
Fewer calls and texts needed to find out who can cover a load.
Improved capacity visibility
Know which carriers are available before a load needs coverage.
Stronger carrier relationships
Preferred carriers stay engaged because the freight reaches them first.
How it connects

Connected to the rest of the operation.

Approved carriers move from onboarding into the carrier network. Load opportunities are distributed through the Private Loadboard. Selected carriers flow directly into dispatch workflows.

Same record, end to end

This is the same record described on the Dispatch Console and Customer Portal pages. Private Loadboard is where a carrier first enters that record, not a separate marketplace your team has to reconcile against it.

Built for the whole team

One network. Different value for every team.

The same carrier network creates value differently depending on who is looking at it.

Why architecture matters

Why Private Loadboard works better on Salesforce.

Most load boards focus on transactions. FTM focuses on relationships, because the carrier record outlives any single load.

Most load boards focus on transactions. FTM focuses on relationships. Carriers you award freight to today become part of a record that gets stronger with every shipment, not a listing that resets the moment the load is covered.
Network intelligence

Every interaction strengthens the network.

Over time FTM captures response history, capacity behavior, service performance, award rates, and carrier activity. The network becomes more valuable with every shipment.

Response history shows who answers fast and who doesn’t
Capacity behavior reveals which lanes each carrier prefers
Service performance tracks on-time delivery over time
Award rates show which carriers actually win the freight
Carrier activity stays current without manual updates

Implementation

Launch without rebuilding carrier relationships.

Private Loadboard works with the carrier network you already have. It does not require starting your carrier relationships over.

Works with your existing carrier network
Salesforce-native, no separate system to maintain
Supports brokers, carriers, and mixed operations
Core workflows live in as little as 14 days

Because Private Loadboard reads from the same Salesforce record as Dispatch Console, rollout is configuration, not a new marketplace to build from scratch. Your existing carriers move in with you.
Private Loadboard FAQ

Questions teams ask before rolling out.

For questions specific to your carrier network, a transportation specialist can walk through your use case.

Can carriers access the loadboard through a portal?
+
Yes. Approved carriers access available opportunities, submit responses, and view their own award history through a carrier-facing portal connected to the same Salesforce data your team works from.
Is this only for brokers?
+
No. Shippers use Private Loadboard the same way brokers do, publishing freight to a private network of approved carriers and awarding loads based on rate, transit time, and performance. Asset-based carriers use it to extend capacity through trusted partner carriers.
Can we choose which carriers see freight?
+
Yes. Freight opportunities are published to selected carriers based on lane, equipment type, or preferred status. Nothing is exposed to the open market unless you choose to.
Does it replace DAT or Truckstop?
+
No. Private Loadboard is a controlled network for your own approved carriers, not a public marketplace. Many FTM customers continue using DAT or Truckstop for spot capacity while using Private Loadboard for their core carrier relationships.
Can we compare carrier responses?
+
Yes. Responses, including rate, transit time, and equipment availability, are collected and displayed side by side so you can award the load without checking separate texts or emails.
How does it connect to Carrier Onboarding?
+
Carriers approved through Carrier Onboarding automatically become eligible for Private Loadboard opportunities. There is no separate step to add an onboarded carrier to the network.
Is Salesforce required?
+
FTM includes Salesforce Enterprise licensing, so you do not need an existing Salesforce subscription. If your organization already uses Salesforce, Private Loadboard runs in the same org alongside your other data.
