Connect TEG carrier bids and bookings to FTM.
Bring load bookings, carrier bids, and pricing into your Salesforce freight workflows. As a result, give your team and customers a clearer way to compare offers and choose the right carrier.
How It Works
From load booking to carrier selection
The workflow starts with an eligible Lane Quote or Load in Salesforce. Then, staff compare TEG bids and book the selected carrier. After booking, they can follow tracking updates and check delivery documents, with document retrieval covered by the sandbox implementation.
First, staff post an eligible Lane Quote or Load from Salesforce to TEG. They can also update an unbooked posting or cancel it.
Next, FTM retrieves TEG bids. Staff can review carrier details, price, vehicle information, distance to collection, and ETA where TEG supplies them.
Then, staff compare bids within Salesforce and can share offers through FTM communication workflows. The customer’s preferred option is recorded in FTM.
Once the choice is confirmed, staff accept the TEG bid in FTM. The booking sends collection and delivery details and available instructions to the selected carrier.
After booking, authenticated webhooks provide status and vehicle locations. Staff can also refresh tracking manually. Separately, the sandbox implementation retrieves delivery documents into Salesforce Files.
Carrier Offers
See competing quotes in one place
Instead of logging into the TEG platform to review responses, quotes from Courier Exchange and Haulage Exchange members appear directly in FTM. Your team can compare price and availability without leaving Salesforce.
Responses can come from Courier Exchange members (same-day and courier work) and Haulage Exchange members (full loads and haulage), depending on your TEG account and load type.
In addition, carrier quotes retrieved from TEG are stored against the relevant FTM load record in Salesforce, keeping all offer data in one place alongside your customer and load information.
Because all quotes for a load are presented together, your team and customers can make an informed comparison rather than evaluating each response in isolation.
Customer Choice
Let your customers choose the right carrier
Rather than presenting customers with a single carrier decision, the integration supports sharing competing offers so customers can select based on price, timing, or preference. Selection is recorded back in FTM.
Once a load is posted to the exchange, carrier quotes arrive and are surfaced in FTM against the relevant load record.
Your freight team presents the competing quotes to the end customer through FTM communication workflows.
The customer reviews the options and indicates their preferred carrier. The selection is recorded in FTM, completing the booking decision. Then, staff can accept the selected TEG bid in FTM to book the carrier.
Benefits
Built for UK freight teams using Salesforce
TEG is one of the UK’s largest freight exchange networks. This integration brings its carrier marketplace into FTM, so your Salesforce-based freight team can access TEG quotes and bookings without maintaining two separate systems.
TEG’s Courier Exchange and Haulage Exchange give you a pool of active UK carriers and drivers who submit competing quotes. As a result, the integration brings those responses into Salesforce without a separate platform login.
Quotes retrieved from TEG are stored against the relevant FTM load record in Salesforce, so your team has carrier pricing in context alongside customer and load data.
Presenting customers with real carrier options at real prices builds trust and differentiates your service. As a result, customers make an informed choice rather than accepting a single carrier assigned without visibility.
Your freight team manages load bookings, carrier quotes, and customer selection entirely within FTM and Salesforce. As a result, the TEG integration removes the need to switch between platforms to complete the booking lifecycle.
The integration can be configured to match your existing FTM workflow: which TEG exchange to use, how quotes are surfaced in Salesforce, and which data fields are shared with customers.
This integration was completed for a UK freight operator and is in active use. The setup is not a proof of concept: it is a working connection that can be configured for your FTM implementation.
Integration Details
What the integration covers
The implemented connection covers posting, bids, booking, Lane Quote conversion, tracking, delivery documents, and booking instructions. The details below describe what was implemented. However, document retrieval is specifically covered by the sandbox implementation, so confirm its availability for your production setup with FTM.
- Load posting
- Staff can post an eligible Lane Quote or Load from Salesforce to TEG, update an unbooked posting, or cancel it.
- Carrier bids
- FTM retrieves TEG bids and displays carrier details, price, vehicle information, distance to collection, and ETA where TEG supplies them. Then, staff can compare bids within Salesforce.
- Carrier booking
- Staff can accept a TEG bid in FTM. The booking then sends the selected carrier the collection and delivery details and available instructions.
- Lane Quote conversion
- A TEG posting can start on a Lane Quote. When that quote becomes a Load, its TEG ID, booking state, and bids carry over without posting a duplicate job.
- Tracking
- Booking status and vehicle location updates arrive through authenticated TEG webhooks. Staff can also refresh tracking manually. However, TEG delivery status updates the operational Load status; it does not by itself prove that a POD file was received.
- Delivery documents
- The sandbox implementation can retrieve POD files, signatures, and other load documents into Salesforce Files. In addition, staff can request a document refresh, see transfer status, and retry failed checks. A received POD file is tracked separately from delivery status.
- Booking instructions
- Collection and delivery references and notes can be saved in Salesforce and sent to the carrier during booking. In addition, the mapping of these instructions is configurable.
- Integration with the TEG platform for load posting and quote retrieval
- FTM-managed connection between load records and TEG exchange activity
- Supports Courier Exchange and Haulage Exchange depending on your TEG account
- Configuration performed during FTM implementation or as a standalone project
- Speak to FTM to confirm specific technical details for your implementation
