Compare LTL Carrier Rates and Book Freight Inside Salesforce
FTM is designed to connect GlobalTranz’s multi-carrier LTL rating engine to Salesforce, letting your team compare carrier quotes, select the best option, and book the shipment without leaving the platform.
From Lane Quote to Booked Shipment, All Inside Salesforce
The GlobalTranz integration is built around the Salesforce Lane Quote record, a central object in FTM where rate shopping and shipment booking are initiated, results are stored, and booking confirmations are received when the integration is configured for your deployment.
All capabilities are Available for Integration via GlobalTranz APIs. Deployment is configurable. A GlobalTranz account with API credentials is required.
One Request. Multiple Carrier Quotes. All in Salesforce.
GlobalTranz works with a network of LTL carriers. Through its Rate V2 API, a single request from FTM returns available carrier quotes for the lane, ranked by price and transit time, so your team can compare options without visiting multiple carrier portals or managing separate rate contracts.
- Carrier name, estimated charges, and transit days returned per quote
- Quote ID assigned to each result, used to book the selected carrier
- Results are displayed on the Lane Quote record, no context switching
- API requests and responses can be logged to Salesforce Remarks records for auditing
Full Rate Comparison or Quick Cheapest/Fastest Lookup
FTM’s GlobalTranz integration supports two rate lookup modes depending on how your workflow is configured.
Calls the GlobalTranz Rate V2 API and returns all available carrier quotes for the lane, allowing your team to review and choose based on price, transit time, or carrier preference. Results are displayed on the Lane Quote record in Salesforce.
Uses a separate GlobalTranz Rate API call to return only the lowest-cost quote and the fastest-transit quote. Useful when the workflow doesn’t require full carrier comparison, for example, when FTM is pre-selecting a default option for high-volume standard lanes.
Book the Selected Quote Without Leaving Salesforce
Once a quote is selected from the rate results, FTM calls the GlobalTranz Shipment API using the Quote ID associated with that result. On a successful booking, GlobalTranz returns shipment confirmation. When configured, FTM stores the carrier details and booking response back on the Lane Quote record.
- Booking is initiated from the Lane Quote with a single action, no separate login to GlobalTranz
- The selected Quote ID is submitted to GlobalTranz for shipment booking
- Booking response, including carrier name, shipment info, and provider fields, stored on the Lane Quote
- API requests and responses are logged for auditing and troubleshooting
Rate Results and Booking Data, Stored on Salesforce Records
The GlobalTranz integration is built around the FTM Lane Quote object. Rate results from the GlobalTranz API are returned and displayed on the Lane Quote. When a quote is booked, the booking confirmation, including carrier, provider, and shipment information from GlobalTranz, is stored back on that same record.
Optional connections to Load and Rate records allow the integration to extend into broader FTM workflows where those objects are in use. API calls can be logged to Remarks records where configured, giving your team an audit trail of rating and booking interactions.

What Changes When Multi-Carrier LTL Rating Lives in Salesforce
Shipper, destination, and freight details from Salesforce are used to populate the GlobalTranz rate request, reducing manual data entry compared to quoting through carrier portals individually.
Multiple carrier quotes for a lane are returned in a single request, giving your team side-by-side cost and transit comparisons without switching between carrier websites or rate sheets.
Rate selection and booking happen on the same Salesforce record where the freight request originated, so booking confirmation data doesn’t need to be re-entered from a separate GlobalTranz confirmation screen.
Carrier selection, Quote ID, booking confirmation, and shipment details are stored on Salesforce Lane Quote and Load records, keeping freight data alongside the rest of your operations.
